Evelyn Ward Williams

Evelyn Ward Williams was born April 30, 1924 in Cameron, Texas to James Ward and Catherine Hewitt. Evelyn met and married L.K. Williams in Haslet, Texas. She had 6 boys and 3 girls. They later moved the family to Fort Worth, Texas.

Evelyn loved cooking, fishing, dancing and playing cards and dominoes. She loved and cherished her family and she always told the truth. Evelyn owned and operated a BBQ restaurant and a club. She always opened her doors to feed everyone that came by.

Evelyn confessed a saving hope in Jesus Christ and was a member of Strangers Rest Baptist Church in Lake Como. She loved the Lord with all of her heart.

On Friday, March 22, 2024, the trumpet sounded and the gates of heaven opened to receive Evelyn. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, L.K. Williams; 4 sons, 2 daughters and 1 great grandson.

Evelyn leaves to cherish h er precious memories with her daughter, Marie Williams (Alden); 2 sons, Walter Stillwell (Chasity), L.K. Williams, Jr; grandchildren, Sandra Bonner, Christopher Cooks (Tiana), Hurley Cooks (Yolanda) Sondra Patterson, Harold Talton, Benjamin Patterson, Derrick Evans, Ronnie Johnson; great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
