Born March 13, 1932, in Frisco, La., Eunice was one of six children born to Willie and Juanita Martin. Eunice married the man with whom she would spend the next 55 years, Willie David Wilson, on Nov. 26, 1959, in Nashville, Tenn. She and David went on to have three beautiful children, Keith, Kevin and Kimberly, and resided most of their married life together in Fort Worth. Eunice was an associate editor for Good Publishing Co., where she met and became great friends with noted author and staff writer John Howard Griffin, who wrote the novel "Black Like Me." She served on the editing team that produced prominent black publications such as "Sepia," "HEP," "Jive," "Soul Teen," "Soul Confessions" and "Bronze Thrills," helping to push forward the magazines "Focus" of African-American culture, religion, civil rights, education and leadership. Eunice left Good Publishing Co. in the early 1980s and began working for the Star-Telegram, where she later retired. She truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and she had a great love for music.
