HALTOM CITY -- Essie Mae Smith, 93, passed away Saturday May 18, 2013.
Service: 10 a.m. Thursday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Essie was born in Detroit, TX to Charles and Martha Kuykendall. She was a lifelong member of the Arlington Heights Assembly of God. She enjoyed making hand made quilts for her family and collecting porcelain dolls.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, A.J. Smith, and son, Jack Smith.
Survivors: Son, Walt and wife Suzette Smith; daughter, Betty and husband Marshall Brinkley; son, Gene and wife Shirley Smith; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family members.
