Elva Lee Wells

Elva's celebration of life will be Monday, December 2, 2019. Visitation at 2:00 p.m. Funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at Harvest Assembly of God Church 7501 Crowley Rd.

Elva was a loving aunt, stepmom, friend, sister-in-law and granny. She had a heart for giving and to encourage and inspire those around her. She loved her church and was a member of Harvest Assembly of God Church for 51 years.

Elva was born on August 7, 1930, in Floydada, TX to William A. and Ivery Tarpley. She graduated high school and married the love of her life Robert C. Wells on March 7, 1948. She was a bookkeeper for Aleon Laboratories for 34 years prior to retiring.

Elva was known for her prim and proper attire and her quick and witty personality. She lived her life on her terms and made her home a priority.

Elva was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert, her parents William and Ivery Tarpley, sisters Betty Fry Gatlin, Joann Conley and Patsey Fowler.

She is survived by her niece Sandra Moody, step daughter Claudene Sleeper, grandchildren Russell King and wife Rina, Karen Green, and Mark King, great grand children Amelia, Arianna, Preston, Parker, Catherine, Sarah, Julie, Rebecca and Camden and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
