Elsie was born August 1, 1916 in Wichita, Kansas. She met her first love, Glenn Macy at a one room schoolhouse. They were married Jan. 22, 1938 and had 49 loving years together. She retired from the Wichita State University. In 1993, Elsie moved to Fort Worth to be near her family. We are thankful for the many happy memories we shared. Words cannot express our love and gratitude for her life, her giving spirit and loving heart.
Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Macy, parents, William and Mabel Hawkins, sister, Wilma Smith, brother Harold Hawkins and an infant brother.
Survivors: Son, Larry and Jill Macy; daughter, Louise and Paul Harper; grandchildren, Troy and Lisa Macy, Cammi and Kevin O'Teter, Chris and Lori Harper, Randy and Misti Harper; nine great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Earl and Wanda Macy, extended family of nieces and nephews.
