Ellen E. Rainwater

She was married to George Rainwater for 65 years before his passing in 2009. The majority of her life was spent as a homemaker to her husband and two children. Though born in Texas, they lived many years in Illinois and Florida, before returning to Texas permanently.

She loved to bake, was an avid fisherman and a huge Texas Rangers fan. Always competitive, from bowling to cards, she was always rooting for the Rangers, and later in life competed to win at bingo, Farkle, and other games she and her many friends played.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Georgia Rainwater Neame and husband Simon, son Curt Rainwater and his wife Janice, Granddaughter Missi Steele, Grandson Terry Steele II, Great-Granddaughter Joie Steele, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George, and sisters Pauline, Mildred, Queen Hartence(Dude), LaVerne, Johnnie Mae, Billie, Neva Joyce and Margaret.

A graveside service will be held on September 28th, 2022 at 10:00 AM., Laurel Land Memorial Park in Ft. Worth.
