"If anyone should ever write my life story..."
Elizabeth Ann Green was born during the cool month of November, on the 14th day in the year of Nineteen Hundred and Fifty. She was born in Fort Worth, TX as a fruitful offspring of William and Lonnie Vernice Green. "Memi", as she was affectionately known, grew up in Fort Worth and attended Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. She went on to receive a Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Our Lady of the Lake in San Antonio, TX.
"Beauty in the eyes of the beholder..."
As "Liz" became the "apple" in the eyes of Mr. Richard Wilkerson, the two were married in Holy matrimony and shared a blissful life together. To their union, one daughter was added who was a blessing to their home.
Elizabeth maintained a career as a government employee, retiring from Brook Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. Elizabeth was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
On Sunday, August 18, 2024 in the early morning hour, Memi heard the still voice of the Almighty God, closed her eyes, and slipped peacefully away into the arms of her Savior.
She was greeted at the Heavenly Gates by her parents, William and Lonnie Vernice Green; sister, Ava D. Green; brother, William "Petey" Green; and one niece, Melvis "Vine" Baker.
Cherished memories of Elizabeth linger in our hearts...
