She was born in Crayne, KY on April 18, 1929. She earned her Masters in Music from Baptist Theological Seminary. Elaine worked as the Program Director for The Southern Baptist Convention, and had a passion for playing piano.
She was preceded in death by her parents, P.O. and Mary Dee Elkins; and sister, Thelma Elkins.
Elaine is survived by her sister, Barbara Montya; brother, LE Elkins; and several nieces and nephews.
