She was born February 9, 1928 to Robert and Ethel Nixon in Ridgeley, West Virginia. Growing up on a farm in West Virginia, Eileen had a lifelong love of animals of all kinds. She was a very active member of The Rebbeca's as well as The Daughter's of America and loved the activities at a local Senior Center and being with her friends she loved so dear.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, and husband, Herbert Maxwell.
Survivors: Son David Runyon; sister Virginia Crim; two grandchildren: Jeff Hamlin and Diana Saephanh; six great-grandchildren: Sarah Hamlin-Gregory, Kathryn Hamlin, Anthony Saephanh, Chloe Saephanh, April Saephanh and Jake Saephanh.
