Edward Rankin Jr.

Edward Emmett Rankin Jr, of Fort Worth, TX, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019. He was born in Arlington, TX on July 3, 1927. Edward Rankin graduated from Arlington High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from Texas A&M University. He was married to Elsie Dickson on October 9, 1948 in Arlington, TX. Edward Rankin had a career in Aeronautical Engineering and Advanced Design for General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin. He was a member of F.W. Thunderbirds and had a passion for designing, building, flying and racing model airplanes. He is preceded in death by his wife Elsie Rankin. He is survived by children Jerry, Bryan, and George Rankin; grandchildren Ryan and Erica Rankin, Meagan Hughes and Nicole Lasley and 6 great grandchildren.

Visitation: Wednesday, February 27, 2019 6pm to 8pm at Laurel Land Funeral Home.

Services: Thursday 12:30pm at Altamesa Church of Christ.
