Ms. Eddie Lee Smith

On Monday morning June 10, 2024, Eddie Smith surrendered to the call of her Lord and transitioned from earth to glory.

Eddie was the ninth child out of twelve children. She was born on July 28, 1927 in Linden, Texas to Ed and Inez Williams. She became an usher at the age of 14 at the Macedonia Baptist Church, Linden, Texas. After moving to Fort Worth, Texas she served on the Usher Board #2 as a doorkeeper and instructor at Rising Star Baptist Church. Eddie was a faithful servant until her health began to decline in November 2017. Her favorite scripture was Psalm 84:10 and Psalm 27.

Eddie is preceded earlier in death by her husband of 46 years Felton Smith: daughter Beverly Henderson: and grandson Christopher Henderson.

Eddie leaves to cherish her precious memories, her beloved daughters Sheila Smith, and Dariah Bedgood (Clifford Bedgood). Grandchildren Marvin Henderson (Raven Henderson), Meshawn Henderson, Earnest Walker and Reginald Henderson. Great-grandchildren Rachel Kincade, Brian Kincade Jr., Kyndal Walker and Dae’dra Alexander: Great great-grandchildren Legend Derrick, Aquila and Eri’Dani as well as a host of family and friends.
