Dorothy Marie Burger (Phillips), 93, a retired secretary, died peacefully from Alzheimer’s on Friday, November 3, 2017. Dorothy Marie Burger was born Dec. 1, 1923 in Paris, TX. She was a Fort Worth resident for 51 years. She enjoyed sewing and traveling and was an avid reader and Texas Rangers fan. She was preceded in death by her husband Elvin (married Oct. 24, 1943), parents Jerome and Alta, sisters Louise and Betty and brother Kirby. She is survived by her daughter Sherry (Tom), grandchildren Justin, Tommy and Kim (Kevin), and great-granddaughter Ashleigh, and her son Robert (Teresa), grandchildren Taylor, Adrian and Brittany (Charles) and great-grandson Channing, her sisters Wilma and Vera (Ervin) and her brothers Stan (Grace) and Harley. We are very comforted that Mom, Gram and Dorothy has been freed of the confusion and has come to know herself again.
