Alex was born on December 31, 1926 in Topeka, KS to Mae and Ray H. Alexander, son of showman father he had education in circus and carnival business. However, music was his biggest world. Playing drums and traveling with many semi named orchestras. At age 18 he was drafted, after basic training was sent overseas to the Philippines where he joined the 237 AGF band of of the 6th Army. Made the invasion of Japan in October 1945 played and traveled that country with USO Shows and entertained at all USA bases. A wonderful experience. After leaving service, Don married Betty Lou McDaniel in 1949. 63 years of great life to a wonderful woman speaks for itself.
Don during his life time has worked in sales, music, retired from the postal service. Spent his last 15 years as Deputy Sheriff Judges Bailiff. These are the important ones probably and just a few. Don knows the Lord and Jesus Christ is his Savior being as a believer. Heaven will reunite Don and Betty. Praise God Hallelujah!
