BENBROOK -- Donald C. Nelson, 83, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 28, 2016. Memorial Service: 2:00 pm Saturday at Birchman Baptist Church, 9100 North Normandale Dr., Fort Worth. Visitation: Birchman Baptist Church immediately following the service. Don was born in Port Arthur. Survivors: wife, Opal Ricker Nelson; daughters, Donna Young and husband Tim, Laura McGilvray and husband Harry; son Paul Nelson and wife Kathy; grandchildren Zachary Nelson and Jessica Nelson; sister Peggy James; and a host of nieces and nephews.
