Don Hunter Spence, 54, passed away on February 14, 2018, with his family by his side, in Fort Worth, Texas. Don was born July 9, 1963, in Greeley, Colorado, to John Hunter Spence and Pamela Ann McCall Spence. He graduated from Sterling High School in Sterling, Colorado, and attended Colorado State University. Don proudly worked for American Airlines for over 29 years, both in Tucson and in Fort Worth.
Don loved all sports, but especially loved cheering for his beloved Denver Broncos and all teams from the University of Arizona. He equally loved rooting against Arizona State University, the Oakland Raiders, and the Kansas City Chiefs. He loved trying new restaurants, and particularly loved brisket/BBQ places and breweries where he would enjoy a high-quality craft beer or two.
Don is survived by his wife, Rina Bilbraut Spence of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter Erin A. Spence of Seattle, Washington; sons Alec J. Spence and Armando Nargi III of Fort Worth, Texas; brother Ron Spence and husband Larry Deal of Portland, Oregon; sister Koral Spence Bowman and niece Simone Bowman of Tampa, Florida; aunts and uncles Penny and Ed Heinze of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Bruce and Vicki Spence of Masonville, Colorado; cousins Chris Heinze and family of Fort Collins, Colorado; Matt Heinze of Melbourne, Australia; Mark Spence and family of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Kurt Spence and family of Masonville, Colorado.
There will be a gathering to remember Don on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Home, 6001 Rufe Snow Drive, Fort Worth, Texas 76148.
