Don Roger Kennedy

Born: Wednesday, August 3, 1949 in Athens, TN

Died: Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Arlington Memorial Hospital from complications of pancreatic / bile duct cancer. He will be cremated, and his ashes will be shared with his family to spread across the country.

As a child his family moved around a lot due to his father’s line of engineering work. Eventually, the Kennedy family settled down in Plano, TX. Personally, he was kindest soul that was always there to help others in need and lend an ear to people troubles. His insightfulness and tenacious personality nearly won over every person who meet him, and it was surprising how much information people would share with him.

During the Vietnam war, he honorably served his country in the United States Army where he was stationed in South Korea. After his return and settling back into civilian life, he met the love of his life, Wendy Thelaner. They were married on June 25, 1977 after 2 years of courtship. During their 42 years of blissful marriage, they had three beautiful children which has bestowed upon them with 7 wonderful grandchildren.

Throughout his 70 years, he worked many professions, but his expertise in project management came to the forefront as an electrical contractor and estimator for the Texas construction industry. Ultimately, he settled into building his own businesses, so he could provide the finest service possible to his clients.
