A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, May 12 at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel.
Dolores was born in Port Arthur, Texas. She graduated from Polytechnic High School in Fort Worth, Texas.
Dolores was married to Dr. Charles Floyd for 59 years.
Dolores worked as a homemaker for most of her life and as the office manager for her husband’s practice for a number of years. She was an accomplished pianist and pipe organist and gave a number of organ recitals over the years featuring her favorite composers Bach, Brahms, and Pachelbel. She taught piano for many years and was actively involved with music programs in her church and the Girl Scouts of America. Additionally, she was very active, along with her husband Charles, in Scottish heritage activities, particularly with Clan Lindsay, of which Dr. Floyd was a direct descendant.
Dolores is survived by her daughter Charlene Worley and her husband Kent (Ft. Worth), her son Robert Floyd and his wife Donna (Montrose, CO), 5 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
Dolores is preceded in death by her husband Charles, her mother Addie Lee Jennings and her father Wyatt Reese Jennings.
