Diane graduated from the University of Oklahoma and worked as an engineer at General Dynamics. She was actively involved in painting, winning many awards including first place at the State Fair of Texas. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was also very involved in family history. She served for many years as the director of the Family History Library of the Church in Hurst, Texas.
Diane is preceded in death by her father, Clark Affleck, her mother, Velda Affleck, her brother Jay Affleck and her granddaughter Megan Goodwin.
Diane is survived by her loving husband, Loyd Goodwin, her daughter, Cindy Goodwin, her son, Randy Goodwin, her daughter-in-law, Emily Goodwin, her grandkids, Macy, Madelyn, Grant and Sydney and her sister Marilyn Affleck as well as many cherished friends.
The family would like to thank the marvelous doctors, nurses and staff at Huguley Hospital for the incredible care and compassion they showed Diane.
These words cannot adequately describe the extraordinary life led by Diane and the indelible mark she has left on the world and those who knew and loved her.
