David was born September 13, 1951 in Fort Worth, TX to Kenneth and Doris Hughes. He graduated from Everman High School, and then served in the Air Force. He married Sherry Massey in 1975, and they were blessed with their son, Garrick in 1979. David was an avid gardener, coin collector, and history buff. He loved the outdoors, fishing, and camping. He worked for Winn Dixie for over 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth; sister, Joyce Cole; and grandparents, Frank and Bethel Hughes; as well as, Terry and Edna Owen.
David is survived by his son, Garrick and his wife, Crystal; grandsons, Dominic and David; great granddaughter, Olivia; his mother, Doris; and his sister, Elaine.
