Charles David Holman, known by all as David, passed away on September 28, 2024, in Everman, Texas, at the age of 69. Born on April 14, 1955, in Fort Worth, Texas, David grew up attending Glen Park Elementary and graduated from OD Wyatt High School.
David dedicated 29 years of his career to Vought Aircraft Company, retiring in 2009 as the Lead Heat Treater. Passionate about his hobbies, he was an avid drag racer, a keen fisherman, and a lifelong patriot and Dallas Cowboys fan. David also found solace in worship through Edge Park United Methodist Church.
He was a man of good character, deeply committed to his family's well-being, leaving behind a legacy of honesty and kindness.
David is survived by his mother, Jo An Holman; brother Billy, wife Leigh Anne and nephew Kevin. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law, Elaine Holman and her children; Niece, Amy McGhee and husband Brandon, along with their daughters, Kayley and Kamryn. Niece, Emily Updike and husband Coy, and their children, Ava and Colt.
David was preceded in death by his father, Billy Charles Holman Sr.; sister, Lynne Louise Akin; and twin brother, Carl Douglas Holman.
David will be dearly missed but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A visitation for David will be held Friday, October 4, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134. A funeral services will occur Friday, October 4, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134. A committal will occur Friday, October 4, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134.
