Brother Williams was born on December 26, 1948 in Fort Worth, Texas to the parents of Ira Williams and Mattie Modestine Jackson. His nickname was “Toe”. He attended the Elementary School in Como, to later attend the Dunbar Junior, and Senior High where he graduated in 1967. He went on to Tarrant County College to receive a Bachelor degree in 1968. During the year of 1969 during the Vietnam War he volunteered to serve in the U.S, Navy for he was very Patriotic.
He was blessed with two children Darwin Jr and a beautiful daughter Tamara Williams. Williams was married to the Honorable Bishop and Pastor of the Arising True Holiness Church in February 18, 2017, where he became the First Gentleman of the church and was loved by the church. He was a part of the Brotherhood Department and always tried to demonstrate his love and devotion to the work of the Ministry even when he was not physically able due to his illness.
On Tuesday early morning of September 20th, He obeyed the call of the Lord and departed from from this walk of life. He was preceded, in death by his father Ira Williams, his mother Mattie M Williams, his daughter Tamara Williams, Sister Barbara Coleman, Janice Owens and Veron Williams.
Those left to cherish his precious memories are his Wife, Bishop Mary Williams; his Son Darwin Williams, Jr; his Step Daughter Pamela Dial (Billy); his Brother, Kevin Williams and blessed through his marriage with five grand Daughters and seventeen great grandchildren; A host of other relatives and friends. A niece Shannon Button and Nephews Steven Coleman and James Banks.
