Cynthia "Cindy" Lea Sheppard, age 68, of Arlington, TX, passed into eternal rest on Saturday, March 2, 2024. She was born on August 9, 1955, in Fort Worth, TX, and lived a life marked by love, kindness, and devotion to her family and friends.
To commemorate Cindy's life, where friends and family will gather to share memories and bid farewell to a soul whose light will continue to shine in the hearts of those she touched a Visitation for Cynthia will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel, 7301 East Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76112. Funeral Service will occur Friday, March 15, 2024 at 2:00 PM, Burial to follow at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Cemetery.
Cindy was a cherished presence in the lives of those who knew her, renowned for her love of music and her joyous spirit. A proud graduate of O.D. Wyatt High School, she always enjoyed catching up with her old schoolmates. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her daughter Lindsey and her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. An avid gardener, Cindy found peace and contentment in the simple pleasure of tending to her plants and flowers. A lover of the ocean, she embraced every opportunity to walk along the beach and bask in the serenity of nature's beauty. The ocean was her refuge, where she felt most at peace with the sand beneath her feet and the breeze upon her face.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her daughter, Lindsey Rodriguez, and son-in-law Josh Rodriguez; her father, Willie Keith; her great Aunt and Uncle, Robert and Ann Howe; her brother, Will Keith Jr.; her sister, RayeAnn Worthington; her stepdaughter, Valerie Sheppard; and her adored grandchildren, Abbie Gabriel, Christian Updegrove, Garrett Updegrove, Luna Rodriguez, and Kristen Hobbs, and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Cindy is preceded in death by her mother, Alice Bass; her sister, Karen Selby; and her grandparents from the Keith and Locke families.
Cindy's will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace!
