The lives of Leroy and Bobbie Jean Henry were filled with joy on December 20, 1950 when they were blessed by the second birth of their bouncing aby girl which they named, Cynthia Gail Henry. This miracle took place in Fort Worth, Texas which was when Cynthia would receive her childhood education at Dunbar High School.
At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal savior at Mount Rose Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Kelly. In 2000 she worshiped as a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Senior Pastor N.L. Robinson and Pastor James P. Thompson, Jr.
On May 2, 1979 Cynthia married Demanis Jarrod Garrett, she was blessed with two sons, Demaris Jarrod
Garrett on June 18, 1981 and Derrick Terrell Garnett on September 23, 1985. It was on October 18, 1997 in Arlington, Texas when Cynthia Gail was united in matrimony to David Earl Lawson to whom she remained devoted until her death. Cynthia worked for the Mount Olive Day Care Center, Mackie Automotive Division, Mary Kay Corp. and Lock Heed Martin. Due to her failing health she decided to retire.
On December 8, 2020, God dispatched an Angel to remove Cynthia from this earthly realm to receive her crown in Glory. Those who are left to await that great reunion, her husband David Lawson; her children, Jarrod Garrett, Derrick Garrett, Amy Ridgel, Sarita Lawson and Lashone Henry; sisters, Jackie Baston, Deborah Campbell, Vickie Henry, grandchildren, Elijah Garrett, Kaylee Garrett, Aubrey Garrett, Demaris Garrett, Jr., Ladarius Garrett, Beyoncia Cox, Ceyara Cox, Christopher Cox, Brandon Wilson, Christopher Jaylon Lawson, Daylan Music, Maurice Ridgel, great grandchild, Traiden Lawson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
