It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clarence Joe Moore, a beloved husband, brother, father, and grandfather. Joe passed away peacefully on December 23, 2023 at 84 years old, surrounded by his loving family.
Joe was born on August 28, 1939 in Healdton, Oklahoma, the son of Clarence and Gladys Moore. He attended North Dallas High School before joining the military. He served for 29 Years, which included three tours in Vietnam, one with 5th special forces. Joe met the love of his life, Jackie, and they were married for 55 years. Together they raised two wonderful sons, Wesley and Jerry, and welcomed six beautiful grandchildren into their lives: Mitchell, Jonah, Paige, Mallory, Madison and Mia.
Joe was a man of faith and served as a deacon at First Baptist Benbrook. He spent his time teaching bible study at the Benbrook Nursing Home. He was deeply committed to his community and always put others first. Joe had a love for dogs and enjoyed spending time with his wife and furry friends. He often recounted stories of his youth and time in the service to his children and grandchildren and was never without wise counsel to offer.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jackie, his brother Tommy and wife Stephanie, his sons Wesley and Jerry and their wives Lori and Donna, and his grandchildren Mitchell and fiancé Aubrey, Jonah, Paige, Mallory, Madison and Mia.
Joe will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His kind spirit, generous heart, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire us all. As Joe would always say, “Glad you got to see me.”
