Clara grew up on a cotton farm in Bremond, Texas with her parents, brother, and two sisters. She later moved to Fort Worth where she met her Airmen husband, Tom Falk. While in the Airforce, they and their four children travelled and lived in several states and even abroad in Kabul, Afghanistan.
She showed amazing talents as a seamstress, loved working in her gardens, and caring for her various animals. While in Afghanistan in the mid 60's, she coordinated and organized a fashion show sponsored by the American Embassy to promote the Afghanis textile and fabric industry internationally. She also loved to create garments for her children.
Later, her love for gardening, flowers, and flower arranging, turned into an opportunity to open a gift shop in Crowley, Texas. She enjoyed flower arranging for weddings and other customer special occasions. Late in life she enjoyed being a volunteer at the Burleson Senior Center where she was able to show off her amazing dancing skills.
Clara is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Falk, grandson, Colten Tammen, and later husband John Davis. She is also preceded by her parents, Bruno and Sophie Pietrowski, and siblings Bill Petrowski, Margie Kubiak, and Helen Torrisi.
She will be greatly missed by her sons and their spouses, Duane and Pamela Falk, Gregory and Kimberly Falk, Douglas Falk, and her daughter D'Anne Tammen. Her grandchildren, Jodie W. Tammen, Ross Falk, Aaron Falk, Samuel Falk, Anna Falk Richter, great grandson, Colton Wade Tammen, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends will also miss her.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 15, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Fort Worth, Texas. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Laurel Land Funeral Home with the committal service to follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park.
