Charles Russell Musselman was born in Brownell, Kansas February 14, 1937, to Charles and Vera Musselman. He went to be with his lord on January 22, 2018. He was the first to graduate from the class of York College. This is where he met and married Clara Louise Carson on April 27, 1958. He then graduated from Abilene Christian College, taught school in Texas, Kansas, and settled in Tulare, California, where he taught fourth grade for many years. He preached the gospel in Utah and in many of the towns where he taught school. He was a faithful member of Burleson Church of Christ and had attended and been an elder of the church in Tulare, California. He enjoyed working in his yard, collecting coins and helping anyone he could find to help. He also loved to talk to people and try to make them laugh.
Russell is survived by his wife, Clara; son, Mark and wife Patti of Crowley; son, Brent and wife Terri of Crowley; daughter Sharon and husband Kalon of Tyler; sister, Esther Gottberg of Austin, Texas; brother, Kirk Musselman and wife Dot of Lake Charles Louisiana; grandchildren Shelby Lowrey and husband Chris, Jessica Phillips and husband Logan, Alleson Buchanan and her husband Brad, Alex Musselman, Andrew Musselman, Chloe Ainsworth and Keaton Ainsworth; great-grandchildren, Mason, Emelia Lowrey, and Marrick Phillips.
Russell never met a stranger so he is survived by a host of friends.
