Charles Wayne Jordan, age 92, began his new life in the loving arms of Jesus on April 8, 2023. Charles, known to all as Chuck, was born in Fort Worth, Texas to LeRoy and Bertha Mae Jordan. On August 10, 1957 he married the love of his life, Vercile Lavada Walker. They raised two daughters and had spent 64 amazing years together when Vercile passed in 2021.
Chuck was a proud Marine Veteran who served his country in the Korean Conflict. After his service, he began a long and fulfilling career with the Federal Aviation Administration, where he developed and maintained aviation radar.
Chuck was a private pilot, and one of the joys of his life was flying and building small aircraft. He first built an exciting open airframe plane called a Breezy. He was the hit of numerous fly-ins where he gave rides to hundreds of thrilled passengers. He then built and flew a faster airplane called a Long-EZ.
Chuck and his wife Vercile loved to travel, and were blessed with the opportunity to retire early and spend many years traveling the world.
Chuck is survived by his daughters and their spouses, Carla and Ross Benson, Kerri and Brian Nelson, grandchildren and their spouses, Matt and Morgan Nelson, Jenn and Patrick Wilson, Jordan Benson and Jared Benson, and great grandchildren, Liam and Logan Wilson.
