WATAUGA -- Charles Ervin Hunter Jr. passed away Monday, May 2, 2011. Celebration of life: Noon Saturday at New Beginnings Baptist Church, 6540 Glenview Drive, North Richland Hills, 76180. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel.
He was born on June 29, 1974 at Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland, TX. He was the son of Ella Mae and Charles E. Hunter, Sr. and the oldest of five siblings. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1993. He was exceptional in track and was a sectional drum leader at Robert E. Lee High School. He married LaTreece J. Doyle on February 13, 1999 at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Midland, TX. He worked as a Youth Correctional Officer prior to earning his degree in 2000 in electronics engineering and graduated from ITT in Memphis, TN. He also was the General Manager of Kentucky Fried Chicken in North Richland Hills, TX, and worked as a cell phone repair technician. Charles E. Hunter, Jr. was a highly respected individual. He accepted Christ at an early age. He served on the Deacon Board at New Beginnings Baptist Church in North Richland Hills, Tx. He was totally committed to God and his family, his wife, LaTreece and daughters, Asia, Alex and Aubrei. He was a man of God who truly loved the Lord and kept Him first in his life. His faith was limitless and he had an abundant level of strength and courage. He was an inspiration to everyone he came in contact with because his faith in God allowed him to see the positive in every situation.
Survivors: Charles E. Hunter, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory wife, LaTreece Hunter; children, Asia (10), Alex (8) and Aubrei (6); parents, Ella Mae and Charles E. Hunter, Sr.; siblings, Erica Smith and husband, Lawrence, Stephanie Jackson and husband, Rev. Jackson, Stephen Hunter and Kanisha Hunter; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
