Charles "Charlie" Bingham, 69, of North Richland Hills, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025, after one final battle with his heart. For those who knew him, Charlie was a loving husband, proud step-father, devoted "pawpaw," and a dedicated officer. His heart, as strong as it was, just couldn’t keep up with his big personality.
Charlie is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Andrea Bingham, who stood by his side through all of life’s ups and downs. His heart also belonged to his fur babies, Boudreaux and Cephus, who will miss his presence at home and the milkshakes he shared.
He also leaves a legacy of love with his stepchildren, Amber Fuqua, Brandy Kidwell, and David Cassidy. And let’s not forget his grandchildren, Corbin and Madison Riegel, and Mark and Morgan Kidwell as well as great grandchildren Corbin Jr. and Loreli.
Charlie spent a good majority of his life protecting others as an officer, and we’re pretty sure he spent his retirement keeping the neighborhood in line—whether they asked for it or not. He loved the mountains and he loved to fish with his favorite fishing buddy at his side. He’ll be greatly missed for his wisdom, humor, and sometimes unsolicited but well-meaning guidance.
A celebration of his life will be held Friday, March 28, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Shannon Rufe Snow Drive Funeral, 6001 Rufe Snow Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76148. In lieu of flowers, Charlie would have appreciated donations to the local animal shelter, in honor of his love for his furry companions.
Rest in peace, Charlie. You were the best "pawpaw," the best husband, and the best officer. Your heart may have stopped, but your legacy will never skip a beat.
