Charlene M. Lee

A Memorial Service for Charlene will be held Friday, June 10, 2022 at 2:00pm at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel & Cemetery, 7301 East Lancaster, Fort Worth, Texas 76112.

Mickie was born in Alameda, California to Macel and Charles Abood on September 6, 1935. She went to school at St. Joseph Notre Dame in Alameda, California. She married Don Lee on June 23, 1962 at the Alameda Naval Air Station. After starting a family in California, Don and Mickie transferred to Texas where they have resided in Arlington for over 40 years. She worked as a stewardess for American Airlines for 8 years. She was involved in Kiwi Club for Ex-American Airline Flight Attendants, Red Hat Society, an Officer of Mended Hearts Arlington Chapter, volunteer at Arlington Memorial Hospital, and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church.

Mickie is preceded in death by her father, Charles Abdood, and mother, Macel Moriarty Abdood.

She is survived by husband, Don Lee; daughters Carrie Hatfield of Arlington; Meagan Shoults of Dallas, and Jayne Water of Modesto, California; granddaughters, Jennifer Lemcke, Jill Bower, and Sophie Shoults; and grandsons, Christopher and Sean Hatfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to ALSA/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or American Heart Association.

The family of Mickie wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Don McGrath, who graciously gave her communion on many Sundays when she could not attend mass.
