Cecilia Germaine Cortez

Bee Bee was born to Albert and Margaret Gremillion in Alexandria, Louisiana, on June 25, 1935. During her high school years at Istruma High in Baton Rouge, La. she met the love of her life, Joe Bob Cortez. On June 20, 1953, they married and stayed devoted to each other for over 67 years. BeeBee supported Joe throughout his military career and together they raised 4 children. She was always there for her husband, kids and grandkids.

During her free time, she enjoyed and was very talented at arts and crafts like quilling, ceramics, sewing, scrapbooking, stuffed animals and of course her amazing Christmas village. But nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family.

Bee Bee is preceded in death by her parents and son Ron Cortez (Kim).

She is survived by her dear husband Joe, her daughters Kari (Randy), Karla (Larry) and son Keith (Terri). Grandchildren Nicholas, Grant, Hayden, Max and Madison (who lovingly call her Mee Mee), as well as many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly wishes that donations be made to the ALS Association of Texas in memory or Ron Cortez.

A private committal service will be held at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth, Texas.
