Carol Ann (Henson) Maxwell, 80, passed away June 7, 2021. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 19th at 11:00 a.m. at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 7100 Crowley Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76134, officiated by Pastor Travis Pittock of Christ Lutheran Church. Family greetings will be from 10:30 am to 11:00 am. Carol was born September 26, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois, and graduated from Paw Paw High School in Paw Paw, Michigan, and Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, Nebraska. Carol was very busy in her life and career. She worked in Bellevue, Nebraska as a florist and later as a newspaper ad layout designer at the Bellevue Guide newspaper. After moving to Fort Worth, Carol worked in advertising sales and development for the Carswell Sentinel newspaper. Carol was an active member of the Fort Worth Southeast Lions Club and held the position of President. She was also involved with the Texas Lions Camp charity. Carol was active in the Carswell Retired Officers Wives Club and the Fort Worth Women’s Club. Carol was a natural artist. She enjoyed painting and floral design, having won numerous awards in both. Besides art, Carol also had a passion for traveling. She spent many years traveling around the world as well as RV’ing around the USA with her husband Robert, who preceded her in death in 2011.
