Brenda Joyce Jones

On March 20, 1958, a beautiful baby girl was born to her parents Mr. J.C. and Lizzie M. Renfro. She was 7 of 9 children born to the union. Her mother referred to her as "Fat Baby". The youngest daughter, she knew she was special and very oved in the family. She attended P.L. Dunbar, class of 1977. A hard and dedicated worker, she worked in the Fast Food Industry and later the Health Care Field.

Brenda met and married Herman G. Johnson and 2 sons were born to this union. A loving and caring mother she was for them. Later she met and married Mr. Charles Jones. After some time, this union ended. She was the proud grandmother to three grandchildren who she loved very much. Brenda was a faithful member of the True Love Sanctuary where she served under the leadership of Bishop Michael E. Williams. She always expressed her love for her church family. She loved her family and wanted them to stick and stay together like glue. She was planning some event to keep family ties strong.

On July 13, 2021, the King of Glory dispatched His angels to carry Brenda from labor to reward. She now joins those clouds of witnesses who precede her in death, her parents J.C. and Lizzie Renfro; brothers, Charles, Claude, Donald and George Renfro. Those who are left to cheris her precious memories are her sons Rodgerick Johnson and Herman Johnson (Tracie); three grandchildren, J'Riyah, Anijah and Nathan; one brother, H.E. Renfro; 3 sisters, Barbara Jackson, Shirley Gilbert (Bobby) and her very best friend Deborah Weatherd; aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, church family and friends.
