Brenda J. Collins was born on October 30, 1946 in Fort Worth, Texas to the parentage of Zeke Robinson and Deborah Mathis. She was the eldest of six children.
In the Fort Worth Independent School District, Brenda attended and graduated from Dunbar High School where she excelled in academics and band. In 1962, she met her complete love, Floyd Lee Collins and through their union came Tamera, Darwin Sr., Dalon and Sherri. They shared a loving marriage of 52 years. In 1965, Brenda was employed by Texas Instruments. Later on she worked for AMPI- Associated Milk Producing, Inc. In 1981, she worked tirelessly for the United States Postal Service for 27 years where she later retired.
On January 6, 2023, Brenda answered the Master’s call from labor to reward. She now joins her parents; her beloved husband, Floyd Lee Collins; brother, Wayman L. Tisdale, Sr.; and daughter, Tamera Juanyce Collins. Those left to cherish her precious memory are: her sons, Darwin Collins, Sr. (Eunice), Dalon T. Collins (Carrie), Sherri A. Collins; brothers, Larry Tisdale, Sr., Dannie Tisdale (Charlene), Weldon Tisdale, Sr. (Demetria), William Tisdale, Sr. (Shari); sister-in-law, Regina Tisdale; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, god-children and friends; extended family, JoAnn, Linda, Gwen and Eddie Faye and the Davis Family; and the Miracle Revival Word Center Family, Apostle R.J. Thompson (Overseer).
