Billy attended Burleson schools for a while. He graduated from Joshua High School and attended college at Tarleton and Texas Wesleyan Universities. Billy worked at his father’s Exxon station and garage, Conveyor Incorporated, Menasco Aerospace, and Fort Worth Police Department from 1986 until 2009, from which he retired. During his career at Fort Worth Police Department, he did crime scene investigation and analysis, gang unit, traffic, DWI, and motor unit.
Billy was introduced to hunting at a very young age by his dad and great grandfather, he was an avid outdoorsman. His hobbies included bowling, boat racing, saddle bronc riding, team roping, traveling, fishing, and much more.
Billy is preceded in death by his father, Billy Joe Scott, Sr "Pop".
Billy is survived his wife, Kay Rasco Scott and their pups, Ginger and Olive; mother, Doris Scott; brother, James Scott (Rhonda); niece, Jamie White (Billy); extended Scott family, Carl "Sonny" and Sharon; Frances and daughter, Renee; extended Rasco family, Donna and her children; Jenn and Jeff; Jack and his daughter Jill; and many more family members and special friends.
