It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Billy Bob Dumas, who left us on September 25, 2024, at the age of 88. He was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and friend and his presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Born on September 27, 1935, in Hill Country, Texas, Billy was the child of A.O and Juanita Dumas. Billy was employed for 30 years by Harris Graphics and retired when he was 59 years old. After retirement, Billy devoted his time and energy at home to woodworking. He made all types of furniture such as, toys or anything he was asked to make. Billy and Patsy loved to spend time together at home where they were homebodies after his retirement. Patsy often told Billy, “All he had to do was roam around heaven all day.” Billy was an avid golfer with his best friend Jimmy. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting in his spare time.
Billy is survived with deep sorrow by his wife, Patsy Dumas; his son Larry Dumas; his grand daughter, Emily Anne Thomason (Josh); great grandson Rynn Thomason; sister Gail Monté (Rick); special niece Mariah Franklin and husband Seth; sister-in-law Darlene Dumas and her family; along with many more relatives and friends.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents A.O and Juanita Dumas; his brothers Harold and Randy Dumas; and his long-time best friend and golfing buddy Jimmy Minor.
