Funeral: 5 p.m. Saturday in Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Bill was born Dec. 14, 1938, in Wolfe City to Jesse and Willie Britt. He owned and operated Brico Industries for 31 years before retiring in 1999. Bill was a member and deacon at Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ and served on the board of directors for The Village at Pleasant Ridge. He was a past president of the Breakfast Optimist Club of East Fort Worth and past secretary-treasurer of the North Texas District of Optimist International.
Bill loved the Lord and his family. He was a wonderful husband, Dad, PawPaw and Grandpa. He leaves behind a loving family and many, many friends who will miss him dearly. He never met a stranger and greeted everyone with a smile.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Angel Negron and Dr. Alan Davenport for taking such good care of him over the years. And, a very special thank-you to Susan Pelton with Community Hospice for all her help and compassion the past three months.
Survivors: Wife of 49 years, Sandy; sons, Michael and his wife, Jill, David and his wife, Layle; precious grandchildren, Connor, Shelby, Alex and Mikey; sister, Janet Morris and husband, J.C.; nephew, Gary; and a host of other family and friends.
