Beverly Jean Lyon

Beverly was born in Kansas City, Missouri in 1929. She graduated Nebraska City High School, attended Stephens College in Colombia, Missouri, and continued studies at Tarrant County Junior College. Upon her marriage to Bobby Dennis Lyon in 1948, they lived together in Des Moines, Iowa, where they began raising their family. A more agreeable climate brought them to Texas in 1955, soon after they purchased their first home. Widowed at a young age, while raising a large family, she was also a successful businesswoman for over five decades. Upon her retirement, well into her eighties, she became an active volunteer at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Fort Worth.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Dennis Lyon; Her Sons, John, James, Richard, and Steven Lyon; granddaughter, Shelisa Lyon; and brother-in-law, Robert Jefferis.

Beverly is survived by her son, Michael Lyon; her daughters, Jacklyn Hale, Robbin Lyon, and Sherrie Lyon; her sister, Nancy Jefferis; her grandchildren, Kari Ligouri (Adonia Ligouri), Jon Lyon (Cheryl Marr-Thomas), Kirk Lyon, Jacque Wolfe (Aaron Wolfe), Warren Hale, and Lucas Lyon (Alisha Lyon); and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
