Beverly Brock was born in Houston, Texas on August 13, 1934. She was quite precocious and like her brother very artistic. She loved to sing and eventually became a part of the Houston Opera Association. She was a regular soloist at First Baptist Church in Houston and attended Houston Baptist College where she was a voice and piano major. She had an affinity for animals and loved her family dearly. She was an excellent cook and made every birthday special with homemade cakes decorated to perfection. She loved Christmas and always made sure it was "over the top" and everyone in the family had everything they ever wanted. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always the light and life of the gathering. She will always be remembered as a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother.
She and Douglas spent many hours talking and laughing together. He was her strength and the light of her life. They met at a Rice and LSU football game where they were on a date with other people. He couldn't take his eyes off of her so when his date asked if he would like to go sit by Her and said "yes please" and the rest is history. They married on July 14, 1952 and spent the next 62 years together.
She is preceded in death by her parents Lillian and Ray Morris and her son Brian Brock.
