Betty was a loved wife, friend, and mother. She had a quick wit, an easy laugh, and a clever sense of humor. In 1969 she married Ray Scott, and together they raised three children: Michael, Steven, and Susan. A devoted mother and grandmother, Betty put nothing in life before her family. She pressed hard to ensure her children received strong educations, took pride in their success later in life, and relished time with her grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew her.
Betty is survived by her three children, her granddaughters Sophia and Jacqueline Scott, her grandson Ryan Lee and her granddaughter Riley Lee, as well as her sisters Martha Riddle and Nancy Sheffield.
Service to take place Friday, January 4, 2019, at 10 am, at Laurel Land Funeral Home. Betty will be cremated and at a later date placed to rest with Ray at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society in remembrance of Betty defeating lymphoma.
