Betty enjoyed her career as a legal secretary at the Canty & Hanger Law Firm. She was a very social person and loved time spent with her family and friends, including her sorority sisters of Beta Sigma Phi with whom she remained in close contact through her adult life. She and her second husband, Jerry, of almost 39 years also cherished their many road trips together across the United States, and they never gave up a chance to go ballroom dancing. Betty and Jerry were members of First Baptist Church of Euless (now Cross City First Euless) and enjoyed their attendance at the adult Sunday school class.
Betty was survived by her husband, Conley C. “Jerry” Bowers; her daughter, Dixie Randle Gratchen and her husband Tim; her granddaughter, Jamie Waspi and her husband Mike; great-grandchildren Erin Waspi and Eason Waspi; four sisters and one brother; her stepson Rich Bowers and his wife Lynn; as well as many other loving family members and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her daughters, Roma Jo Randle and Cynthia Randle, as well as one sister.
A family graveside service will be held on Friday, March 5, at 11:00 a.m. at Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park.
