Preceded in death by her parents and her Sister Mary Jo Cardwell.
Survived by her husband of 55 years, Standley Scott, her daughter and son-in-law Shannon and Bryan Mileger of Austin, Texas, son and daughter-in-law Seth and Lisa Scott of Robinson, Texas, grandchildren, Alden Mileger, Skye Mileger, Cade Mileger, Keaton Scott, Brock Scott and Hutton Scott.
Betsy graduated from Roscoe High School in 1956. In 1960, she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education at Abilene Christian College. Betsy was a cheerleader for the Wildcats, a member of GATA social club and also met the love of her life, Scottye, while at ACC. Betsy was a school teacher for 36 years and was known for the loving care of the children she taught. She was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ. Betsy loved to correspond with everyone she knew, writing letters to her family and friends brought her so much joy. She demonstrated her love for music with her singing and playing of the piano. Betsy was full of life and had such a vibrant spirit. “I love you” was a common phrase, she spoke to everyone she came in contact with. Her love for the Lord was constant and Betsy's beautiful soul will be dearly missed.
