Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Laurel Land Funeral Home.
Ben was born March 26, 1922, in Frankell to Benjamin Franklin Yung Sr. and Nona Ruth Hardy Yung. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army. He was a Mason and Shriner, worked the Shrine Circus and on the Moslah Mounties Drill Team. He retired after 38 years at General Dynamics. He was a longtime member of Hallmark Baptist Church. He enjoyed sharing his life stories, playing dominoes and doing crossword puzzles. He loved his family, horses and every other kind of animal. And, although she passed 19 years prior, he had a love affair with his wife until his dying day.
Ben was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Gladys Barbara Yung; a son, Ben F. Yung III; and sister, Helen Ruth Meier.
Survivors: Brother, Bill Yung and wife, Esther; daughter, Pat Owens and husband, Lydell; son, Bob Yung; grandchildren, Mari Lea Yung, Monica Lynn McCue and husband, Noel, Sarah Ruth Seright and husband, Chris, and Tyler Owens; great-grandchildren, William McCue, Kayla McCue, Barbara McCue and Cole Blessing; great-great-grandchildren, Brendyn Barksdale, Georgia Stevens, Liam McCue, Jewel Stevens and Cash McCue; and many other loving family members and friends.
