Barbara C. Barnett

In loving memory of our mother, Barbara C. Barnett, who passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 12, 2023. She was a devoted wife to James E. Barnett and loving mother of Cindy, Mike, Lincoln, Bart and Brad. Mom will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Barbara C. Barnett was born to Charlie Mae Taylor Couch and William Walker Couch on June 15,1936 in Hogansville, GA. She graduated from Brown High School in Atlanta GA in 1954. She met James on February 12,1957 and they married in 1958. They had 5 children in Atlanta GA and moved to Texas in 1974.

Our mother was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. She was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose life she touched. She was a woman of strong faith and instilled in us the importance of family, handwork and doing what is right. Our mother was a true role model who we will always look up to.

Children: Daughter, Cindy Upshaw and husband Wayne of Midlothian; Wanda Barnett of Kennesaw, Lincoln Barnett and wife Debbie of Joshua, Bart Barnett of Arlington, Brad Barnett and wife Corinna of Joshua.Grandchildren: Sarah Clark, Michelle Phillips, Jamie Barnett, Taylor Barnett, Nicholas Barnett, Sheaven Barnett, Tiffany Barnett, Kali Radford and husband Colin, Angel Jackson, Austen Barnett, Brittany Barnett, Seth Barnett, Logan Barnett and wife Gabi and 12 Great Grandchildren.

Husband James E. Barnett; Parents Charlie Mae and Red Gualding; Son Mike Barnett; Grandson Bryan Clark.

A visitation for Barbara will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, TX 76134. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 10:00 AM, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, TX 76134. A committal service will occur at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, TX 76134.
