Araina Latrice Thomas made her debut on December 11th, 1978 as the first of five children to the parentage of Vanessa Murphy Hall and the late Larry Jay Thomas. Araina was educated in the Fort Worth Independent School District where she attended Oaklawn Elementary, Glencrest 6th Grade Center, Forest Oak Middle, and she was a proud alumni of Oscar Dean Wyatt High School, class of 1997. Along with her studies, she enjoyed ROTC, but her absolute love was the OD Wyatt Chaparrals Marching Band where she played the clarinet.
Araina has been a member of the Beth Eden Missionary Baptist Church since she was 13 months old, under the leadership of the Rev. B. R. Daniels, Sr. As soon as she could walk and talk, Araina was an active member, participating in youth choir, youth usher board, and the drill team. As a youth, Araina attended youth conventions, Northwestern District Activities, and ushers conventions both inside and outside of Texas. As she grew into adulthood she continued her faithful service to Christ and the Beth Eden Church. She sang in the Sanctuary Choir and served on the usher board. As she matured, she developed a love for cooking she served on the church culinary committee and became a youth worker at the Beth-Eden Church. When she started her own family, she made sure that her children followed in her footsteps of service to the Beth-Eden Church.
Araina had been employed for almost six years by American Airlines as a gate agent and had recently become a customer service coordinator. She also served proudly as a union shop steward. Araina excelled everywhere she was employed, having served as shift manager for a McDonalds franchise, cafeteria manager for Mansfield Independent School District, manager for the Target Corporation, just to name a few. Araina had a heart for people, making friends easily everywhere she went. One of her greatest joys was cooking, baking and feeding people. Araina loved to travel and was never afraid of a new adventure. Her favorite city to visit was San Francisco.
Of all that she did, her greatest endeavor was her loyal and constant devotion to her three lovely daughters; Keanna Reshawn, Krystian Renee, and Kennedi Reese Bailey. They were the love of her life, her heartbeats. Araina’s daughters were always on her mind. She wanted the best that life had to offer them and she went to great lengths to see that it happened.
On Sunday, November 8th, 2020 God called Araina home. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Thomas, twin sister and brother Ashley & Avery Thomas, maternal grandparents Jessie & Wilmer Murphy, Fraternal grandparents Lillie & Lester Thomas, and one uncle Jewel Cumbie.
She leaves to cherish her memories her 3 loving daughters Keanna, Krystian, and Kennedi Bailey, devoted mother Vanessa M. Hall, sisters Alicia Thomas, and Adrianne Meade (Kenrick), one brother Marcus Mathis (Tria), and her four aunts Mary Johnson (Clarence), Margaret Wheeler, Johnnie Johnson, Lula Cobb (Hollis Sr.), Uncle, Harry Oliver, and five nephews along with a host of family and friends.
