He attended Hebert High School in Beaumont, Texas and later he attended Devry Institute where he obtained his Associate Degree.
Amos worked at Exide Battery as a technician. Later he worked at AAFES for twenty years as a facility manager. The last ten years he was employed at Quintech, Inc as a service technician working with medical gas installation.
Amos attended church at Stewart Chapel C.M.E. where he served as a Steward, Usher, and Men's Choir. Then he was the Cofounder of Freedom Fellowship Chapel in Fort Worth, Texas.
He leaves to cherish his memory: wife-Zelda Guidry, his Angel and love of his life; 6 brothers-Harold Guidry, Jr.(predeceased), Charles LaMelle, Marion Guidry(predeceased), Joseph Guidry, Jr. (predeceased), Theodore Guidry, II (Della), Leo Guidry (Monica) ;2 sisters-Rita Guidry and Alice Spiller; 5 children-Cortney Neal, Tracine Guidry, Lauren Guidry, Caitlin Guidry, Amos Guidry, Jr.; grandchildren-Carmena, Dylan, Dakota, Lauryn, Serenity, Leilani, Donte “Nick”, Mela; great grandson-Shiloh and other family and friends.
