Alice Marie entered eternal rest on September 17, 2020. She was born in Dallas, Texas to Idelia Bailey Clark and Howard Clark. She graduated from George Washington Carver High School in Seagoville, Texas. She excelled in sports and received a 4 year basketball scholarship to Prairie View A M University. She graduated from Tarrant County Junior College and Texas Woman’s University.with a BS Degree. She taught Pre K and Kindergarten for FWISD at W. J. Turner, South Hi Mount, and W.M. Green. She retired after 32 years of service. Her retirement afforded her to do the simple things in life. She adopted KoKo and enjoyed playing around the house with him and teaching him a few tricks. Alice Marie loved to travel. She and her husband cruised to Alaska. They traveled to Las Vegas, California, and numerous other places. Hawaii was one of her favorite places. She loved the sightseeing and eating fresh pineapples. Alice Marie loved to shop especially at Neiman Marcus. She was no stranger to name brand suits. She even learned to shop on line and purchased more suits from the comfort of her chair. Alice Marie never met a stranger. She loved to talk about the good old days. She would share her life experiences with many. Alice Marie loved to cook Southern Comfort food. Her teacakes and fried pies would melt in your mouth. The family would brag about her gourmet greens. Alice Marie enjoyed life to the fullest. She had a beautiful spirit and giving heart. The memories will linger on and she will never be forgotten . Her parents: Idelia Potter, and Howard Clark, Sr., John D. Potter, Howard Clark, Jr., Henry Potter, and John Louis Potter preceded her in death. She lives behind to cherish memories: husband, Clinton Holmes, Jr., sons: Michael Littlejohn (Dorothy), Harold Littejohn, daughters : LaVera Hunter-Jones, and Carol Mebane (Wayne).
Grandchildren : Kiersten Mebane, Micah Littlejohn, Mikaylai Littlejohn Family. Brothers: Jimmy Clark (Eva), Walter Potter (Juanita), David Potter (Matilda) Sisters: Golder Moore (Zebedee), Lois Bradden (Robert), Barbara Miller, Ettarine Williams, Vickie Sneed-Bivins (Brian) and extended Holmes Family.
