He was married to Carmelita Peña on July 9, 1976 in Eagle Pass Texas. Alberto worked welding as well as a carpenter for various companies. He also had a passion for working on cars.
Preceded in death by his father Jose Peña.
He was survived by his wife Carmelita Peña and his mother Juanita Peña, sons Juan Peña, Alejandro Peña and daughter Grisel Martinez. Grand children Christian A. Peña, Alejandro C. Peña, Antonio J. Martinez, Ethan Peña, Nicolas Peña, Ian J. Martinez, Wendy Martinez, Vivica M. Peña, Arianna J. Peña, Iliana G. Martinez and great grand child Elijah X. Peña. Also by his brothers Jose Peña, Jesus Peña, Jorge Luis Peña and sisters Josefina Roman, Rosa Maria Peña, Hortencia Peña and Melva Nelia Treviño.
