William Howard “Bill” Shull, 77, of Fort Wayne died on Thursday, June 17, 2021. He was born on April 30, 1944 in Kosciusko County, Indiana to the late Gerald and Miriam (Overholser) Shull. He graduated in 1963 from Claypool High School, where he was involved in 4H and FFA. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967. Afterward, he worked in various jobs including a feed mill, grain elevator, glass installation, and truck driving. After retirement, he worked for the Fort Wayne Urban League and Eagle’s Nest transporting kids who fondly referred to him as “Old Timer”. He was a member of Christ’s Community Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He also belonged to American Legion Post 402 (Laketon) and the Whitley County Amateur Radio Club (call sign KB9MDR). He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joyce (Jim) Hartog. He is survived by brother, Lamoin “Jerry” (Teresa) Shull; sister, Mary Ann (Mike) O’Neil; nephews, Mike Hartog, Mark Hartog, John O’Neil, and David (Monica) O’Neil; nieces, Elyssa Shull, Kristen Shull, and Shaelin (Paul) Maurer; and several great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. Funeral service is at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 201 at Christ’s Community Church, 10616 Liberty Mills Rd., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the church. Burial services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Eel River Ulrey Memorial Cemetery, Silver Lake, Indiana. Memorials may be made to Christ’s Community Church. D.O.
