William (Bill) Carl Ross went home to his Creator and Savior on September 13, 2023 in Fort Wayne, Indiana at the age of 60. Bill was born on February 13, 1963 in Carson City, Michigan. He was the first born of William H. Ross and Helen M. (Gammey) Ross.
Bill journeyed through life with a genuine heart, great sense of humor and a spirit of kindness. He was unwavering in his devotion to his life partner, Sandy, and to his beloved family and friends. He was a life-long rock and roller with an extensive collection of albums and was a cat lover from early childhood. His favorite job was working as a printer at Rand McNally in Versailles, KY where he worked for a number of years and was always pulling “seconds” of books for family, including children’s books to give to his future niece and nephews. Spending time with Sandy and his family were his greatest joys. His family deeply cherished him. He was a dedicated son calling his mom daily and was the greatest of big brothers.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, William H. Ross and is survived by his partner of 22 years, Sandy Neukam and her children; his ever-loving mother, Helen (Gammey) Ross; brother, David and Amy (Melick) Ross; sister, Carol (Ross) Kose and Mustafa Kose; his niece, Kayla (Ross) Platter and Guy Platter, and nephews: Idris Kose, Jared Ross, Reis Kose, and Semih William Kose.
While we remain here with an undeniable void in our hearts, we take refuge in knowing that Bill repeatedly declared his faith in Jesus in his final weeks. And so, one day….oh glorious day…we’ll see him again, and there will be no void.
A Graveside Service will be held on September 18, 2023 at 1 pm. at Prairie Grove Cemetery, 6312 Old Trail Road in Fort Wayne, Indiana with Reverend Ron Walker officiating.
